Sonja's "dada" & 11 month update

Sonja doesn't know it yet, but her dad passed the bar and took the oath today. She just thought we were sitting in a big room and her mom was trying to keep her quiet.

On the adventure side of things, today was quite a day. We walked to pick up our car about a mile away and found out that they forgot to call us to let us know that it wouldn't be ready on time. So, we started walking as fast as we could, sometimes running, and got a cab to the courthouse. This was Sonja's first taxi ride. We took the bus back home and then walked to pick up our car and drove it home. Then, we went out to an early dinner to celebrate where Sonja got to sit in a booster seat and play with (eat) crayons. The booster seat didn't last too long and we had to ask for a regular high chair. Sonja attempted to drink out of a straw and enjoyed some bread, water, garlic mashed potatoes, and baked chicken. We left the crayons under the table where Sonja dropped them shortly after the waiter gave them to her.

Today is Sonja's 11 month birthday. We are looking forward to visiting family & friends in North Dakota, going trick-or-treating with cousin Emma (age 10 months) dressed as a pea in a pod, and having a Seattle birthday party complete with a variety of cheeses and puppy dogs.

Congratulations from us, too, Ryan! We're happy for you guys! What a BIG accomplishment.

Sounds like you all are keeping busy! I can't believe Sonja is already 11 months old (I bet you can't believe it either!).
