Happy Thanksgiving

Sonja had her first doctor's visit today. She is healthy. She now weighs 8 lbs 4.5 oz and has shrunk to 20 inches long.

It was a nice ride home. Sonja slept most of the way. We listened to Sigur Ros and KEXP on out short little trip. Sonja got freaked out yesterday everytime that she was moved to a new room, so we were happy that she didn't wake up and look out the back of the car. We can teach her about "outside" "sky" "rain" and "trees" another day. For now she can think that the world is a series of rooms.

We are home now. Sonja slept the whole way here. She is getting used to her new environment.

Day Two

Sorry for the lack of pictures today, the internet at the hospital didn't want to connect to the blog today. We are all doing pretty well. Sonja is quite the little night owl--she didn't let Kari sleep much at all last night. Kari was able to get some rest during the day today and is starting to feel better.
