Beach...in May...in Washington

Sonja greatly enjoyed our camping trip to the Washington coast over Memorial Day weekend. It rained the first day and Sonja was soaked within a half hour of being at our campsite. She jumped in puddles, picked up rocks, played with our friend's dog, and made everyone aware that the fire was "hot". The second day, shown above, was milder with no rain and a few sunbreaks. She spent most of her waking hours at the beach stepping in the water and putting her hands in the sand. Unfortunately, she was confused about sleeping in a tent with us so the nights didn't work out as well.

For Auntie Jenner's birthday, we brought pastries to her apartment for breakfast.
Immediately upon arrival, Sonja pulled out the books and sat in bear's lap for some reading.
