6 months

So...it's a few days past 6 months, but we've been busy getting ready for Ryan's graduation ceremony and party and preparing to visit family in North Dakota.

Sonja had quite a few firsts this month:
A trip to the library with Ryan
Riding in the hiking backpack
Rolling over...and then over again
2 airplane rides
Visiting North Dakota and meeting family,
including Great Grandma Jo and Great Grandpa Lynn

The best one happened this weekend. Grandma Mary was curious to see if Sonja was able to sit on her own. She plopped Sonja down on a blanket in the living room, and Sonja stayed sitting up for a long time! We don't usually sit her up on her own too often. If she topples over, she bonks her head on the hardwood floors at our place. Today, she sat on a blanket with little friend Eleanor at the park and with cousin Emma inside.

Sonja's 6 month check up went well and she's 26.5 inches tall and 16 pounds 10 ounces. These stats put her in the 75% percentile for both height and weight for a 6 month old. Due to her height (or length since she can't stand up), we'll have to use a new carseat when we return to Seattle.

Graduation

We had a perfect day in Seattle for my graduation. Starting three years ago, I never thought I'd have a little girl waiting for me at the end of the ceremony.
